Good catches of Rockfish, Ling still on the bite

Nice haul on the D&D! Good ocean and light winds have made fishing very fun this week, with lots of limits of rockfish on the Light Tackle boats. Fair catches of lingcod as well on the Light Tackle trips, which is a little more unusual this time of year! Deep Reef trips coming in with limits of lingcod but a little short on the offshore rockfish for those trips. Long Leader is ROCKING the rockfish, with early limits caught easily. Crabbing is not great, and the crab are starting to get pretty soft due to the molt (typical for this time of year). Catches are about 1-2 per person.

Captain Tamara

Captain Tamara has worked in the charter fishing industry since 1999. She has worked as a guide boat captain in Alaska, a dive boat captain in Florida, and a charter boat captain in Oregon. Although you will mostly find her in the Garibaldi Charters office taking reservations, she enjoys taking out Bay Tours and Crabbing Tours, as well as the occasional Bottom Fishing run. She loves spending time on the water with her husband, two kids, and “Captain Bodock”.
